How to use
Include at 2–6% of the ration depending on the animal (see below). It is high in calcium, so reduce limestone/shell grit and dicalcium phosphate; the formulator does this for you.
- 1
Weigh to the formula
Weigh P38 to your formula. It looks a little lighter and coarser than P55 because it contains bone.
- 2
Mix and cut back limestone
Mix with corn, soybean meal and bran, and reduce limestone and dicalcium phosphate by the calcium P38 provides.
- 3
Feed layers and laying ducks
The fish aroma keeps them eating; calcium and phosphorus support eggshells. Change feed gradually over 3–5 days.
- 4
Feed grower and finisher pigs
Keep finishers at 4% or less near market weight to avoid a fishy taint.
- 5
Store
Keep sacks on pallets in a dry place and reseal after opening. Use mixed feed within 1–2 weeks.

FAQ
How is it different from P55?+
P38 is made from tuna bone and flesh: lower protein (38–42%) but much more calcium and phosphorus, at a lower price per kg. It suits animals that need more minerals such as layers, laying ducks and grower/finisher pigs. P55 has more protein for young stock and protein-dense formulas. Same sack and storage.
Can it replace limestone or dicalcium phosphate?+
It reduces how much you need, but layers still need some limestone or shell grit. Use the formulator to find the right balance.
Can I use it for broilers or young stock?+
Only at low levels because of the high mineral and ash content. P55 suits young stock and broilers better.
Can you issue a tax invoice?+
All our products are VAT-exempt in Thailand; prices are final, and we issue receipts (no tax invoices). Receipts can be made out to your company.
All-round benefits of tuna fish meal
More than high protein: easy to digest, appetising, complete amino acids and minerals built in
Quality protein, complete amino acids
Lysine, methionine and other essential amino acids in proportions animals actually use. It fills what soybean meal lacks and reduces reliance on synthetic amino acids.
Easy to digest
Protein from fish flesh is highly digestible, which suits young animals with immature guts: weaner pigs, chicks, post-larvae and fry.
Appetising aroma animals like
The natural fish aroma draws animals to the feed and helps them eat well, especially aquatic animals and during weaning or feed changes.
Natural omega-3
Fish oil carries EPA and DHA that aquatic animals need, and that benefit breeders and laying hens.
Calcium and phosphorus from fish bone
Minerals in a well-used form support bones and eggshells and reduce the dicalcium phosphate you need to add.
Several jobs in one ingredient
Protein, minerals and palatability in one ingredient. A few percent in land-animal rations makes a better-balanced formula without extra complexity.
